Joseph Oswald was honored for having served in the Village Police Department for 35 years. Joe is an avid fisherman and enjoys reading and solving crossword puzzles. He has coached practically every sport in Floral Park and he and his wife, Kim are the proud parents of four children and are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first grandchild in February. Joe is a valuable asset to the Police Department and the residents of Floral Park Bill Zask and Mike Naylor were honored for 30 years of service each. Bill began his career at the Village as a Police Dispatcher. He is currently in the Department of Public Works Sanitation Division. Bill is an ex-Captain of Floral Park Hook & Ladder Company and is interested in antique fire trucks. You can usually see him driving the Village’s antique truck in all parades and celebrations. He and his wife Kathleen are the proud parents of three children and the proud grandparents of one boy and two girls. Bill’s dedication and dependability have made him a great benefit to the Village. Mike has worked in the Department of Public Works his entire career. He has held several positions in DPW and is currently Highway Supervisor. He is one of five children, was raised in Floral Park and lived here for 53 years. He has a keen sense of humor which has helped make him a real asset to DPW and our residents. Mike is planning to retire at the end of the year and we wish him well in the next chapter of his life. Congratulations!
