Gillies Visits Young Patients


GilliesNew York Islanders legend and National Hockey League Hall of Famer Clark Gillies spent a recent weekday with patients and families at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, alongside CareConnect Chief Executive Officer Alan Murray. Gillies and Murray visited patient rooms and Pam’s Place, one of Cohen Children’s play rooms, spending time with about 50 children and their families and handing out special hockey-themed toys. Delighting Islanders’ fans young and old, Gillies took photos and signed autographs for patients and parents, as well as staff of Cohen Children’s. Gillies spoke of his time with the Islanders, the impact of sports and the importance of giving back to the people of Long Island.
