Our Lady of Victory (OLV) School families became aware of and responded to a need within their own parish when they began the program, Pantry Tuesdays, a food drive benefiting the OLV Church Pantry. Due to the overwhelming generosity of the OLV School families, this endeavor has proven to be a great success.
There are two more Pantry Tuesdays scheduled, on Nov. 4 and again on Nov. 18.
The collection on Nov. 18 will help benefit Our Lady of Lourdes, a pantry which OLV supports each year at Thanksgiving. The following food items are needed for the OLV Parish Pantry: peanut butter, jelly, cereal (adult and children’s), fruit drinks (apple, punch), canned vegetables, tuna, mayo, ketchup, pancake mix, syrup, rice, small bags, pasta sauce, canned fruit, canned stew, boxed potato mixes,Tea/coffee,Boxed milk, boxed chocolate milk. No glass jars. Special thanks to the eighth-graders and families who helped transport donations to the pantry.
